About the Tool: Ad-Free Online QR Code Generator

This tool is designed for anyone who needs to generate a QR code for a link, text, or any other data quickly, securely, and completely free of charge. Unlike most public services, there are no third-party ads, scan limits, or hidden subscriptions here.

The generation happens instantly on the server using the popular PHP library chillerlan/php-qrcode. Your data remains completely confidential — it is processed "on the fly" and is never stored on the server.

Key Benefits of the Tool:

  • Dynamic Update: The code starts generating automatically as soon as you enter text or a link and click Generate

  • Flexible Download Formats: Once generated, you can download the ready-to-use code for free in SVG vector format (ideal for printing and scaling without quality loss) or the standard PNG raster format (for quick insertion into presentations, social media, or messengers).

  • Full Customization: You can manually manage the technical parameters of the code — the error correction level and matrix size.

What Do the Settings Mean?

To ensure your QR code works perfectly under any conditions, you can configure two important parameters:

1. Error Correction Level

QR codes have a unique feature — they remain readable even if part of the code is damaged, scratched, or covered by another element (for example, a logo in the center). The error correction level is responsible for this:

  • L — Low (~7%): The code contains minimal redundant data. It looks visually simpler and is easily read even by low-end cameras, but it cannot withstand damage.

  • M — Medium (~15%): The golden mean, set by default. It allows for minor damage or dirt on the printed code.

  • Q — Quartile (~25%): Provides high reliability. Great for outdoor use (flyers, banners) where the code might get wet or scuffed.

  • H — High (~30%): Maximum resilience. The code will remain readable even if a third of its surface is destroyed. This is the level to choose if you want to "embed" a logo inside the QR code.

2. Matrix Size (Version)

This parameter determines the number of "squares" (modules) that make up the QR code.

  • Standard (Automatic): The optimal mode. The script automatically analyzes the length of your text and selects the minimum required grid density so the code does not look overcrowded.

  • Increased Size: If you plan to encode a large amount of text (for example, a whole paragraph or a long URL with UTM tags), the matrix size will increase automatically, or you can set it manually. The larger the matrix, the smaller the squares become, and the more information a single QR code can hold.
